Improvements
- Fewer accidental double-clicks and drags: both taps now need to land in the same spot on the surface
- Smoother gesture previews
- Less intrusive updates that download in the background and install when you restart the app
- Fixed license activation failing with "Could not retrieve data from server" on Macs set to a non-Gregorian calendar
- New action: open any app with a gesture, or bring it to the front if it's already running
This update brings important gesture improvements and a few small behavior changes you should know about.
-
Fingers resting on the mouse no longer trigger gestures by accident:
- Scrolling while another finger rests on the right side doesn't run anchored swipe actions
- Touching the mouse with an extra finger while others rest on it doesn't cause a middle click
- Two- and three-finger hold gestures now run their action when you lift your fingers
- Taps and the drag gesture now also work with a resting finger
- A drag is not interrupted when another finger touches the mouse and lifts
- New menu item Report a problem. Now you can record how you use your mouse to report if any gesture does not work as expected and send the report for review. TapToClick doesn't collect logs or telemetry, so this provides a transparent way to share details about a problem.

- System: toggle Wi-Fi, toggle Stage Manager (macOS 13+)
- Shortcuts: run any shortcut from the Shortcuts app with a gesture
