A. When you use the App.

We generate a unique ID to identify your device for licensing management. It does not contain any personal information about your device. We also collect IP address to provide a free trial license. This is a necessary measure to protect against fraud and system abuse.

B. When you use the Website.

We automatically collect certain types of non-personal information when you use the Website. This includes your device type, browser type, operating system, referring and exit web pages, click patterns, session ID, IP address, and other browser-based information.

We may collect the Personal Information you give us when you purchase the license, including email address and other Personal Information requested as part of your purchase. This information may be provided to us by third-party payment provider (Paddle Inc.)

SECTION 2 - HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED

Except as described below, we collect and use your personal and non-personal information solely for internal purposes or for generating aggregate and anonymized data. We do not sell, rent, or share personally identifiable information with other people or nonaffiliated companies. We may use your information in the following ways:

• We use your personal information to conduct routine business operations, such as billing, identification, authentication, contacting you, and general research. As part of these operations, we may transfer your personal information to third-party service providers for limited purposes, such as web hosting and payment processing. These service providers are required to protect your information and are not allowed to use it for their own commercial purposes.
• To communicate with you about important announcements, special offers and support.
• To collect general product, country location, and other contributed information to create reports based on aggregated anonymized data, which we may use internally or share with others for various purposes, including their own use.
• To comply with court orders and government regulations.

SECTION 3 - CONSENT

When you provide your information to use the Website or the App, we assume you consent to us collecting and using it for that specific purpose only. If we need your personal information for any other reason, we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent or give you the option to decline. We won't share your Personal Information with third parties unless you explicitly agree, except in these specific cases:

• We may share your Personal Information with third-party service providers, but only for the purposes outlined in the section titled "How Your Information is Used."
• We'll share your Personal Information if required by law, regulation, or for legal proceedings, national security, law enforcement, or other matters of public concern.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use Paddle services to accept payments during check-out. This also means that the Website communicates over the network with Paddle's servers. You can read more about Paddle and their Privacy on their website.

We run license management and email delivery on our own servers, so the data involved, such as license keys, device IDs, and email addresses, is not shared with third-party providers for these purposes.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry standards to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

SECTION 7 - ACCOUNTS AND SIGN-IN

When you purchase a license, we create an account linked to the email address used at checkout. The account stores your email address, your orders, and the license keys issued for them, so you can view them at any time. Signing in does not require a password: you request a one-time sign-in link, which is sent to your email address and expires after 10 minutes.

SECTION 8 - COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

We use only a few cookies and browser storage entries. Each one is either needed for the website to work or remembers a choice you made. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking.

• Session cookie: set when you open the sign-in page or sign in. It keeps you signed in and protects the sign-in form against forged requests. It expires when you close your browser.
• "Keep me signed in" cookie: set only if you tick "Keep me signed in" when requesting a sign-in link. It keeps you signed in on this browser until 30 days after your last visit, and is removed when you sign out.
• Checkout cookie: set when you start a checkout. It links your purchase to this browser, so we can sign you in right after payment. It expires after one hour and can be used only once.
• Theme preference: if you choose light or dark mode on the website, we store that choice in a cookie and in your browser's local storage, so pages appear in that theme from the start. It is kept for one year, and removed when you switch back to your system's setting.
• Prices: the prices shown on the website are kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, so they don't need to be fetched again on every page.

Checkout is provided by Paddle, which may set its own cookies when you open the checkout. Those cookies are covered by Paddle's privacy policy (see Section 5).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, signing in and checkout may not work.

SECTION 9 - AGE OF CONSENT

The Website and the App are intended for adults only, and you must be at least 18 years old to use them. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a minor, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we may have such information, please contact us at support@taptoclick.app.

SECTION 10 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so we encourage you to check it regularly for updates. Any changes or clarifications will become effective immediately upon their posting on the website. In the event of significant alterations to this policy, we will notify you of the updates, ensuring that you remain informed about the information we collect, how we use it, and any circumstances under which we may disclose it.
